Time

Tyler and I have been married for 9 months, now.
The closer we get to one year, the more I reminisce.
I think back to the first time I saw him, the first time we talked, our first date, and how much I missed him when we did long distance for 2 years.
It all seems like a dream now.
And that kind of scares me.
I thought our wedding day would never come,
I wanted time to pass as quickly as it could...
and it did.
It flew by.
Now I want time to stand still.
I want to remember everything.
Every laugh, every smile, every tear, every hug, every kiss..

Time, please slow down.

I totally know what you mean. My husband and I have been married 11 months and it feels like we just got married last week! Trying to slow down and soak up the moments, for sure.

Thid sings to my heart, because its what I feel every day.
Hubby & I been married nearly 15 months, and we so desperately want life to stop happening at times so that we can live ourselves in a frozen moment...
No matter how long you are married, I think that this feeling stays with you always. That inherent desire to preserve memory and stop time so that your time together can remain 'timeless' (f that makes sense)

Oh, this brought tears to my eyes. My. and I didn't date very long. Tomorrow, we'll have been married for 8 months and it feels like it's flying right on by. I'm with you on wanting time to slow down...thank goodness we blog to remember! =) I like what Eva said about wanting our marriage to remain timeless. I agree...we all were in search of a classic love and now it's here. But the only way something can be considered a classic is for lots of time to pass. A classic withstands the tests of time. So, I guess it's impossible to have it both ways...but how I wish we could. =)

Great post, girl!

I can totally relate. We've been married for 11 months and it truly feels like our wedding was yesterday. I felt the exact same way last year.. couldn't wait for the wedding to get here! Now I just want time to sloooowwww down! Scary how fast it goes.

Rachael

I agree. If only it could be timeless.
I'm sure that couples who have been married for 50 years feel the same way!

yes! I am so thankful for blog world! I've never been good at keeping a diary/journal, so this has been perfect.
Ah, "the only way something can be considered classic is for lots of time to pass." I love that. I wish we could have it both ways, too!

YES.
One word.
SKYPE.
I really think that is what helped us the most. Talking is great, but when you can talk AND see them, it is a million times easier. I say "easier" but it definitely isn't easy. It is one of the hardest things I have ever done..but if you want to be with that person forever, just push through it. It is SO worth it:)
